Dubai Design Week 2025 returns this November 10–15 with an inspiring programme that promises to ignite the creative spirit of interior designers, architects, and design enthusiasts from around the globe. Under the theme “Fluid Horizons,” this 11th edition explores the dynamic relationship between space, materiality, and human experience perfectly aligning with the evolving aspirations of today’s interiors.
Programme Highlights
- Material Futures Pavilion: A curated showcase of next-generation finishes, sustainable textiles, and innovative surface treatments from pioneering brands and startups. Interior designers will discover fresh palettes and tactile innovations to elevate residential and commercial projects alike.
- Design Talks & Masterclasses: Thought-provoking presentations by international luminaries, including a keynote by Patricia Urquiola on biophilic design and a roundtable on adaptive reuse strategies for heritage properties. Hands-on workshops will guide participants through advanced rendering techniques and sensor-integrated smart interiors.
- Immersive Installations: Site-specific works by emerging talents that blur the boundaries between art and architecture expect sculptural lounges, interactive light environments, and modular micro-homes that challenge traditional notions of dwelling.
Open Calls
Interior design studios and independent practitioners are invited to submit proposals for three open-call categories:
- Retail Activation: Concept ideas for pop-up showrooms that reimagine the customer journey through sensory design.
- Urban Interventions: Temporary installations in public plazas that engage passersby and re-activate underutilized urban spaces.
- Furniture & Object Design: Prototype submissions for a special “Crafting Tomorrow’s Tables” competition, in partnership with FORMITABLE.
