Spanish Revival on the Santa Barbara coast.
This landmark beachfront hotel first opened with great fanfare in 1931, but lost much of its character over time. By focusing on the details, we united the hotel’s original Spanish Colonial architecture with the many disparate styles it had acquired over the years, giving it back its soul, charm and relevance. Today, guests can marvel at its grand staircase, updated porte cochère and bathrooms, and hints of Spanish Revival and Moorish influence throughout the guest rooms.

JW Marriott’s brand promise is “quiet luxury, crafted experiences and intuitive service,” so that’s exactly what we designed when we renovated the entire JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek hotel. Quiet luxury comes across in fine gold and silver finishes — along with beautifully lit geological textures — that punctuate the light, airy spaces as nods to Denver’s mining industry. Crafted experiences are subtly influenced by the colors of Colorado’s culture, from its official gemstone and mineral to its state flower. Every guest room delivers intuitive service with details like a ledge at the entry foyer for keys, wallets and other important items, keeping guests’ needs front and center
