FALWA: 4SPACE REINTERPRETS ARABIAN EQUESTRIAN HERITAGE IN ABU DHABI

Where Emirati heritage meets contemporary hospitality design.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Designer: 4SPACE
Project area: 450 sqm
Status: Newly revealed project, 2026

Dubai-based design studio 4SPACE has unveiled Falwa, a new dining destination in Abu Dhabi created for Emirati chef Faisal Alharmoodi. Spanning approximately 450 square metres, the project translates Arabian equestrian heritage into a contemporary hospitality environment.

Rather than relying on literal historical references, the design interprets the movement, geometry and character associated with equestrian culture through architecture, interiors, materiality and sculptural forms. The result is intended to create a distinctive dining environment rooted in the region while maintaining a contemporary international sensibility.

Falwa represents a growing movement in UAE hospitality design: the reinterpretation of local identity through contemporary interiors rather than direct reproduction of traditional architecture.
